Nsoatreman FC head coach Yaw Preko has expressed confidence in his team's potential following their impressive 3-0 victory against Elect Sport FC in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Ghana FA Cup champions hosted the Chadian side at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday in the first leg of the preliminary round.
After a dominant display, the Ghana Premier League side secured a comfortable win, putting themselves in a strong position ahead of the second leg.
In a post-match interview, Preko praised his players' performance but indicated that there is still more to come from his squad.
"I'm very proud. We should have scored more, especially in the second half. We lost a bit of balance, and the substitutions didn’t help," Preko remarked. "It’s our first match, and to get three goals here, I’m very proud of the boys. There is more to come."
The second leg of the preliminary round is scheduled for Saturday, August 24, at a neutral venue in Cameroon, as Elect Sport FC’s home stadium does not meet CAF’s standards for hosting international matches.
Should Nsoatreman FC advance, they will face either Police FC of Rwanda or CS Constantine of Algeria in the next round of the competition.
