Ghana's representatives for the 2024/25 CAF Africa Club Competition, Samartex 1996 and Nsoatreman FC, have a looming deadline to submit their team lists to CAF and reveal them to the public.

Both clubs face significant challenges as they step into the spotlight after the impressive performances by Medeama SC and Dreams FC in last season's Champions League and Confederations Cup, respectively.

Samartex 1996, having secured the league title with a ten-point lead over the second-place team, now aims to surpass the preliminary rounds and advance to the group stages. This progression is crucial for enhancing Ghana's prospects of securing an additional slot in the CAF Champions League.

Nsoatreman FC, on the other hand, faces the task of appointing a new head coach following the departure of Maxwell Konadu, the former Black Stars manager. This decision will be pivotal in determining their performance in the CAF Confederations Cup.

The remarkable achievement of last season's debutants, Dreams FC, reaching the semi-finals, sets a high standard for the MTN FA Cup champions. They will need to match or exceed this accomplishment to bolster the reputation of Ghana's club football on the African stage.

Later this month, the draw for the CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup will take place, revealing the opponents for Samartex 1996 and Nsoatreman FC as they prepare for the competition's kickoff in August.
