Asamoah Gyan, the former Black Stars striker, has revealed that his decision to join the Chinese Super League in 2015 was a pivotal moment in his career that ultimately led to the establishment of multiple businesses in Ghana.

In an interview, Gyan opened up about the challenges he faced when considering the move, but ultimately decided to take the lucrative deal after seeking advice from those close to him. 

 

"I was advised to take the lucrative deal because they believed it was the best choice for me," he explained. "It was a tough decision, but after consulting with everyone around me, we concluded that it was the right move."

 

The decision proved to be a wise one, as Gyan went on to establish successful companies that provided employment opportunities for Ghanaians.

His business ventures include real estate, hostels, transportation services, Paradise Pac Water, and Baby Jet Boxing Promotion, among others.

 

Gyan's move to China was significant not only for his own career but also for the league itself, which had been investing heavily in its growth. 

 

At the time, he was one of the highest-paid players in Africa, and his salary increased to £225,000 per week after joining Shanghai Shenhua in 2015.

 

As one of Ghana's most decorated footballers, Gyan's journey serves as a testament to the power of taking calculated risks and leveraging opportunities.
