Heart of Lions forward Michael Ephson has completed a permanent move to Egyptian Premier League side Modern Sport FC ahead of the new season.
The 22-year-old right winger begins a new chapter in Egypt after spending one season with Heart of Lions, having joined the club from FC Samartex.
Ephson joined Heart of Lions on August 24, 2025, and has now switched clubs again a year later as he takes his career outside Ghana for the first time.
The lanky attacker has recorded 68 appearances and 13 goals in league football, while also scoring once in two CAF Champions League appearances.
Ephson was also part of the Ghana Black Satellites squad that hosted and won the African Games two years ago, adding an international achievement to his growing career.
His move to Modern Sport FC gives the young forward an opportunity to continue his development in the Egyptian top flight and gain valuable experience at a new level.
Ephson will now hope to make an immediate impact in Egypt as he looks to build on his experience in Ghanaian football and establish himself with Modern Sport FC.
