Ghana will host the inaugural U-20 WAFU A&B Boys Cup in Accra from June 15 to 30, 2025, following the successful organization of the CAF African Schools Football Championship at the University of Ghana Stadium in April.
The tournament will feature 16 teams from the West African region, including Cape Verde, The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Mali, Liberia, Mauritania, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Niger, Nigeria, Togo, and host nation Ghana.
This competition marks the first combined U-20 tournament for both WAFU A and WAFU B, which previously held separate tournaments. The event will also serve as a qualifier for the U-20 CAF Africa Cup of Nations.
Matches will be played at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, with the final set to take place at the University of Ghana Stadium in Accra. The tournament is expected to provide a platform for enhanced youth football development and increased competition across both WAFU zones.
