Ghana’s U-15 girls have reached the final of the 2026 CAF African Schools Football Championship after a narrow win over Zambia.

The defending champions secured a 1-0 victory in Thursday’s semi-final, setting up a final clash with Burkina Faso.

It will be a repeat of the WAFU B regional qualifiers final, where the two West African sides also faced each other.

Coached by Sandra Boakye, Ghana took the lead early in the game. The only goal came in the eighth minute of the first half.

Blessing Tettey collected the ball on the right side before striking from long range, beating the Zambian goalkeeper to give her side the advantage.

The team, known as the Black Damsels, held on to secure the win and book their place in a second straight final.

Ghana will now have the chance to defend the title they won last year in Accra, where they defeated Uganda in the final.

Their opponents, Burkina Faso, have already beaten Ghana in both the regional final and earlier in the group stage of the current tournament.

Burkina Faso reached the final after edging past Morocco in their semi-final.

However, the final is scheduled to take place on Friday, 10 April.
