Renowned Ghanaian referee Daniel Laryea has earned a spot among the distinguished officials selected to officiate in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
This marks his second consecutive AFCON tournament, having been part of the list for the previous edition in Cameroon.
Daniel Laryea boasts a rich history of officiating across various levels of African football, ranging from youth tournaments and club competitions to women's events.
While he has yet to serve as a center referee in AFCON, he made his debut as a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) in the match between Algeria and Libya.
As part of the lineup released by CAF on December 21, 2023, a total of 26 center referees, 30 assistant referees, and 12 VAR officials have been selected for the prestigious tournament.
The AFCON 2023 is scheduled to commence on Saturday, January 13, running through to February 11, 2024.
