Ghanaian tactician, Kwesi Appiah has been officially asked to resign by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) from one of his positions before the Ghana versus Sudan encounter.
According to the continental football governing body, this is to nip-in-the-bud of any conflict of interest ahead of the crucial game.
Appiah is currently the head coach of the Sudanese men's national team and also doubles as an Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Below is the Statement from CAF:
Ghana will host Sudan on 10th October at Accra Sports Stadium before travelling to Benina, Libya for the return leg on October 14.
