Abdul Karim Zito, head coach of Dreams FC, feels very delighted to coach in the CAF Confederations Cup, having already being at the same stage during his playing days and has stated they are desperate and determined for the tricky tie coming up.
The 'Still Believe' lads will play as visitors to Guinean side FC Milo de Kankan in the first preliminary round of the 2023/24 CAF Confederations Cup.
The MTN FA Cup holders left the shores of Ghana two days ago to Conakry and have since been training extensively hoping to acclimatize quickly to the weather, the nature of the pitch and anything they will need to get poised for the game.
In a pre-match presser, the experience tactician has been impressed with the motivation and hunger in the faces of his charges and strongly believes they will come out with a good results.
"I have been there before as a player in 1981. Here I am in Guinea today as a coach and not a player to play against Milo FC. We are ready for them.
"The spirit in the camp is very high because we are all debutants. The boys are motivated that for the first time, they are going to play in Africa. So we are ready. We are very ready for them,” he added
The match will come up at 1500GMT at the Stade General Lansana Conte on Saturday, August 19, 2023.
