Nigeria international Victor Osimhen has climbed to the summit of Football Ranked's Elo rankings for players competing outside Europe's top five leagues following his match-winning brace against Fenerbahçe.

The Galatasaray striker jumped from fifth to first in the latest rankings, overtaking Liverpool's Mohamed Salah and Inter Miami superstar Lionel Messi to become the highest-rated player outside the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1.

Osimhen's rise comes after another outstanding display in the Turkish Süper Lig, where his two goals against fierce rivals Fenerbahçe underlined his importance to Galatasaray's title ambitions and further enhanced his growing reputation.

The 27-year-old now leads the standings with an Elo rating of 1,794, ahead of Mexico's Julián Quiñones (1,779), Mohamed Salah (1,777), Lionel Messi (1,775) and Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins (1,771).

Football Ranked's Elo system evaluates players based on their performances, form and the quality of opposition, with the latest update reflecting Osimhen's exceptional consistency in front of goal.

The former Napoli forward has enjoyed another prolific campaign since moving to Turkey, continuing to deliver decisive performances in both domestic and European competitions.

Widely regarded as one of Africa's finest forwards, Osimhen's latest achievement further cements his status among the world's elite players and highlights the impact he has made in Turkish football.

His rise to the top of the Football Ranked Elo standings is another significant milestone in a career that has already seen him win the Serie A Golden Boot, the African Footballer of the Year award and establish himself as one of the most feared strikers in world football.
