The man in charge of administrative affairs at the Gamla Ullevi Arena has affirmed that the 16-year-old winger of Nigerian descent is currently on the wishlist of many admirers ahead of the summer transfer window

Newly-promoted Allsvenskan club Örgryte IS sporting director Pontus Farnerud  has confirmed interest from potential suitors over the services of Swedish-born Nigerian starlet Marlon Ebietomere.

The talented budding teenager, who has been drafted into the senior squad this term, has already savoured first-team football actions so far this season, with such magnificent displays at the top level now attracting serious attention from admirers across Europe ahead of the forthcoming transfer window.

Speaking about the speculation of interest surrounding the Nigeria-prospect winger, the man who oversees the day-to-day affairs of the club, has now given credence to the growing rumours linking their prized jewel with a move away this summer.

''Of course there is,'' the Swede football administrator affirmed the interest from potential suitors over the services of the 16-year-old to Swedish football publication outlet Fotbollskanalen: ''What I have heard is that clubs are keeping an eye on him. But before there is anything concrete, it is unnecessary to speculate. But because he has such special qualities and considering his age, it is natural that clubs follow him a little extra.''

Commenting on whether his outfit would be tempted to cash in on their promising teenage prodigy this summer, the former footballer said: ''It's a very difficult question and depends on what possible offers come in. But at the moment I would say that we are focusing on Marlon developing and getting as much playing time as possible with us in ÖIS.''

Ebietomere has so far taken in 7 appearances for Örgryte IS across all competitions in this just started 2026/27 Swedish Championship campaign.

With his glowing talent now attracting admiring glances from interested clubs across Europe, the Nigeria Football Federation technical team ought to keep an eye on his progress so as to secure his nationality switch in the near future.
