Nduka Junior, the captain of Remo Stars SC, has emphasized the team's commitment to delivering their finest performance against Medeama SC in the first preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.

Reflecting on the lessons drawn from the previous season's campaign, which saw their exit in the first round of the Confederation Cup against AS FAR Rabat from Morocco, Junior is confident in the team's improved approach.

In the upcoming fixture, Remo Stars will travel to the Cape Coast stadium to face Medeama in the first leg on Sunday, August 20, 2023. The return match is scheduled to take place five days later at the Remo Stars stadium in Ogun State.

Acknowledging the formidable status of their opponents as reigning champions in Ghana, Junior asserted that Remo Stars also hold their own championship credentials. He expressed the team's determination to showcase their best performance across the two legs of the match.

"We’ve learnt from our last early exit on the continent. We know they’re champions in Ghana, but we are also champions in our own right. We will definitely play our best football over two legs," Junior affirmed.

Nduka Junior's journey with Remo Stars began at the U17 level, and he was appointed captain in November 2019, marking a significant milestone in his career with the club.
