The Black Stars of Ghana will kick off their preparation camp on September 2 in anticipation of their opening 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Angola.
Head coach Otto Addo confirmed the schedule on Thursday afternoon, outlining that players will join the camp in phases, with the full squad expected to be assembled by September 2.
Addo also revealed that the first training session will be open to the public in Accra, with subsequent sessions held in Kumasi on Tuesday and Wednesday ahead of the match on September 5.
The fixture against Angola will take place at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, followed by Ghana's away game against Niger in Morocco on September 9.
With ambitions to top Group F—which also features Kwesi Appiah’s Sudan—the Black Stars are eager to continue their strong form from the FIFA World Cup qualifiers into the AFCON qualifying campaign. Fans are hopeful that the team’s recent success will carry over into these crucial matches.
