Spanish second-tier club Girona FC have officially signed Ghanaian centre-back Abdul Mumin on a free transfer, with the defender agreeing to a three-year contract that will keep him at the Spanish club until 2029.
The 28-year-old joins Girona after spending four seasons with fellow LaLiga side Rayo Vallecano, where he gained valuable experience competing at Spain’s top level.
Mumin is expected to strengthen Girona’s defence with his physical presence, defensive ability and experience in LaLiga.
The Ghana international made his debut for the Black Stars in 2024 and has since established himself as part of the national team setup.
He was also included in Ghana’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, further adding international experience to his profile.
His move to Girona represents another important chapter in his European career as he looks to continue his development and contribute to the club’s ambitions in the Spanish top flight
