Black Stars and Fenerbahce defender, Alexander Djiku has recovered from his knock and will be in contention for a starting berth this weekend when they face Hatayspor in the Turkish Super Lig.
The versatile defender featured in their last game before the international break and lasted the entire duration in their precious 0-2 away win at Kasimpasa.
Despite enjoying the full throttle, the 29-year-old sustained a minor injury after the game and withdrew from the Black Stars squad that faced Mexico and USA couple of days ago in friendlies.
The positive update is that, Alexander Djiku is fully fit now and is most likely he will make manager İsmail Kartal's starting line up for the game.
Speaking in a recent interview, the ex- Strasbourg center-back discussed lots of things one of which is shaking off his recent injury and being ready to return to the pitch once more.
He admitted Hatayspor are a very stubborn side hence anticipating a very difficult game on Sunday.
"I had an injury, but I think I will be ready for the match. We made it 16 out of 16, but every match in this league is difficult, every team does their best. Hatay is one of the undefeated teams. We want to continue the series by showing our own game. It will be a difficult match," he told Tivibu Spor.
Alexander Djiku has played eight matches so far this season with a goal to his belt which came against Istanbul Basaksehir last month.
