Ghanaian star Andre Ayew is on the brink of a top-flight European move as he is currently undergoing a medical in the Netherlands as talks with an undisclosed club reach an advanced stage.
Kickgh.com understands that the transfer hinges on him passing the tests, with both the player and club eager to complete the deal as negotiations are at an advanced stage,
The 36-year-old has spent the first half of the season without a club but has kept sharp in Ghana, training with his father’s side, Nania FC.
However, a return to Europe is seen as key for the former Black Stars captain to test himself against the demands of elite football once more.
Ayew is reportedly aiming to return to regular competitive action in order to boost his chances of a Black Stars recall ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He has been absent from the national team for over a year, his last appearance coming during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
Ayew brings a wealth of top-level experience, having featured for clubs including Marseille, West Ham United, Swansea City, Nottingham Forest, and most recently, Le Havre.
