Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has been crowned Player of the Week in the English Premier League following an outstanding display in Matchday 26.

The Ghana national team attacker delivered a Man of the Match performance to inspire Manchester City to an emphatic 3-0 victory over Fulham FC at the Etihad Stadium.

Semenyo broke the deadlock by reacting quickest to a defensive mix-up, slotting home from close range to give City the lead. Moments later, he turned provider, setting up Nico O'Reilly for the second goal before Erling Haaland sealed the win with the third.

The 26-year-old’s influence on the match earned him 39 percent of the public vote, edging out Virgil van Dijk, who finished with 32 percent. Other nominees included Lukas Nmecha, José Sá, Malick Thiaw, and Jaidon Anthony.

Semenyo becomes the third City player to receive the weekly accolade this season, following earlier wins by Jeremy Doku and Haaland.

Since joining the champions in January from AFC Bournemouth, Semenyo has made an immediate impact. The former Bournemouth star has already scored five goals in seven appearances, quickly establishing himself as a key figure in City’s attack and winning over supporters with his sharp movement and clinical finishing.
