English Premier League side Arsenal in search for a replacement for midfielder Thomas Partey as they monitor FOUR Premier League midfielders ahead of the January window, according to reports.

The 30-year-old has started just four games for the Gunners so far this season due to groin and hamstring injuries.

Partey has struggled with fitness issues ever since arriving in North London in 2020, racking up just 104 appearances in nearly three and a half years.

And with just 18 months left on his contract, it has been reported by English newspaper Daily Mail that Arsenal are planning for life after the Ghana international.

Aston Villa duo Douglas Luiz and Jacob Ramsey are among the names at the top of Mikel Arteta's wishlist.

Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha is another name being linked with a move to the Emirates.

The Portuguese star, 28, looked set to join Bayern Munich in the summer, but Marco Silva's men ended up blocking the deal as they rejected a £61.7million offer.

And Everton's Amadou Onana is the final man on Arsenal's radar after an impressive start to the season under Sean Dyche.

Meanwhile, Partey is expected to return from injury before the end of 2023.

The Ghana midfielder joined the Gunners from Atletico Madrid for £45m in a last-gasp transfer at the end of the summer window three years ago.

He has scored five goals and provided four assists during his time at Arsenal - and he was a key part of their unsuccessful title challenge last season as he established a superb partnership with Granit Xhaka.
