The Rojiblancos have reportedly joined the queue in chasing the signature of the talented teenage sensation of Ghanaian heritage ahead of the summer transfer window

Spanish La Liga heavyweights Atlético Madrid have joined the race to sign Belgian-born Ghanaian teenager Jesse Bisiwu from Belgian outfit Club Brugge, per a report from the Spanish media.

The 18-year-old winger, who has been stirring for the reserve side Club NXT, remains a sought-after talent among European top guns, with FC Barcelona also currently in the race for his signature.

According to Spanish tabloid Mundo Deportivo, the Metropolitano Stadium campaigners are set to rival the Catalan giants for the services of the budding teenager as it's understood that their scouts were in Belgium to monitor the Ghana-prospect star with the youth team ranks.

A source within the camp of Club Brugge is quoted to have said by the news outlet about their prized asset: ''He's registered for the Champions League on Club Brugge's 'B' list, the list for youth academy players, and although he hasn't yet made his official debut with the first team, local media outlets assure that it won't be long before he does, given his potential.''

With his running contract set to expire on June 30, 2027, those vying for his services must fork out a fee of €800,000 if they are to land him in the summer as per his transfermarkt valuation.

Bisiwu has so far taken in 16 appearances by scoring 2 goals and assisting 1 for the Club NXT side across all competitions in this current 2025-26 campaign.

Given his Ghanaian heritage, the talented budding starlet remains fit to play for Ghana on the international stage despite featuring for the Belgium national youth teams.
