Majeed Ashimeru is close to leaving Anderlecht after falling out of favour under head coach Besnik Hasi.
The Ghana international has been placed on the transfer list as part of the club’s squad overhaul and has spent most of the season playing for Anderlecht’s U23 side in Belgium’s second tier, where he scored once.
La Louvière are leading the race for his signature and are confident of completing a deal, viewing Ashimeru as a key addition to strengthen their midfield and aid their survival push. The club currently sit 14th and in the relegation zone of the Belgian Pro League.
Ashimeru, a former WAFA SC player, joined Anderlecht in 2021 and remains under contract until 2027. With his role at the club reduced, a move away appears imminent, offering him the chance to revive his career with regular top-flight football.
