The relegated English Premiership side attempt to snatch the talented teenager of Ghanaian descent from the Belgian top-flight campaigners has hit a rock
Burnley F.C boss Vincent Kompany has seen his quest to sign Belgium-born Ghanaian teenager Enoch Agyei from RSC Anderlecht quashed by his parents, according to reports from the Belgian media.
After spending time together with the budding star, the former Manchester City icon was looking forward to reuniting with the 17-year-old at his new English Championship side in the just started campaign.
According to a report from Walfoot, RSC Anderlecht manager Felice Mazzu is not willing to lose the talented prospect this summer as he has been penciled for promotion to the first team next term following his pre-season outings with the mainstream ranks prior to the start of the 2022-23 football season.
Agyei will be featuring for the RSCA Futures side in this season's Challenge Pro League campaign.
Born in Belgium, the promising teenager could still switch allegiance to represent Ghana at the international level despite playing for the Belgium U-15 and U-17 national youth teams.
