The 20-year-old stopper of Ghanaian descent has completed his season-long loan deal with the Danish second tier outfit in this summer transfer window

Danish 1 st Division side HB Koge have announced the loan signing of the Danish-born Ghanaian centre-back Jonas Jensen-Abbew from FC Nordsjaelland until the end of the 2022-23 football league season.

The talented defender, who is not in plans of manager Flemming Pedersen this term, has been farmed out to the Swans  in order to have more game time in the lower division contest.

Right after appending his signature to the deal, the former AB Youth man says he can't wait to kick starts his journey at the Koge Stadium as looks forward to teaming up with his team-mates in the just started campaign.

"Here is a good training environment and a really good staff around the team, and of course it is an opportunity for me to get a lot of games. So I'm looking forward to getting started, meeting my new teammates and helping to make a difference for the team,' Abbew told his club's official website.

He added, ""I have previously been on the youth national team with Marius Elvius, who is now one of my very good friends, and he only had good things to say about the club. The same with Joachim Rothmann, who I also know from FC Nordsjælland. So it was a no-brainer for me to switch here when the opportunity arose."

The 20-year-old's current deal with FC Nordsjaelland will expire in June 2024 and his market value has been pegged at €200,000 as per transfermarkt valuation.

Born in Herlev, Abbew is still eligible to switch allegiance to represent Ghana at the international level despite playing for the Danish U-18 national youth team.
