Benfica, Marseille on the heels of highly-rated Ghanaian teenager

The Portuguese top-flight side as well as the French elite division outfit are currently chasing the talented teenage sensation of Ghanaian origin in the just opened transfer window

Portuguese Primeira Liga side S.L Benfica and French Ligue 1 campaigners Olympique Marseille have expressed interest in signing Belgium-born Ghanaian teenager Pierre Junior Dwomoh in this summer transfer window, according to his representative Niels De Jonck Kimpen.

The 17-year-old nimble footed attacking midfielder, who is currently on the books of Belgian top-flight side Royal Antwerp FC, has caught the attention of clubs across Europe - with Benfica, Marseille and Inter Milan - all currently gunning for his signature ahead of next season's league campaign.

According to his counselor, the aforementioned clubs have already made contact for his client but wouldn't rush to enter into negotiations with both parties even though a move to their sides is highly on the cards given their acumen over talents nurturing of upcoming youngsters.

"Marseille and Benfica have shown a lot of interest in him," the Belgian counselor affirmed to FclnterNews

Dwomoh's current deal with Royal Antwerp will expire in June 2026 and suitors must cough up €2m if they are to land him this summer as per his transfermarkt valuation.

The Mechelen-born talented attacking midfielder is still eligible to represent Ghana at the international stage despite featuring for the Belgium U15, U17& U18 national youth teams.
