The winger of Ghanaian lineage has been released by the German second division side in the ongoing summer transfer window
Bundesliga ll side SV Sandhausen have terminated the contract of German-born Ghanaian left winger Erich Berko, the club have announced.
The Sandhausen-based side said the annulment of the contract of the 27-year-old was mutually agreed upon and that they now go separate ways after being together in January this term.
The former Stuttgart youth product will now look elsewhere for another stint with suitors as kickgh.com understands that the 5f 11 inch attacker is currently on the wanted list of clubs in the German lower division sides in the just opened transfer window.
A statement from SV Sandhausen confirming the mutual termination of the contract of the ex-SV Darmstadt 98 man reads:
"SV Sandhausen and striker Erich Berko terminate the existing contract with immediate effect,"
"Erich Berko moved from "SV Darmstadt 98 to Hardtwald in January. In the last second half of the season, the offensive player made nine appearances for the Black and Whites, three times he was in the starting XI. At 1-1 in Heidenheim, Berko set up Cebio Soukou's equalizer."
"After the end of the season, the club and the player mutually agreed to terminate the contract,"

Erich made 9 appearances in league fixtures for the BWT-Stadion am Hardtwald outfit in the Just ended term.
The Ostfildern-Ruit-born winger is still qualified to play for Ghana at the international level despite playing for the Germany U15, U16 & U17 national youth teams.
