The lanky center-forward has sustained a hamstring injury, leaving him out of Athletic Bilbao's trip to Real Valladolid on Sunday.
Ghana international Inaki Williams has been ruled out of Athletic Bilbao's La Liga fixture against Real Valladolid after straining his left hamstring muscles.
The 30-year-old, who scored for the Bilbao in their 2-1 away win over Ludogorets Razgrad in the Europa League, has been declared unfit for their match-week 13 game after picking up a fresh injury.
The club's official statement reads: “The forward will be unavailable for Sunday's La Liga clash with Real Valladolid.”
“Athletic Club forward Iñaki Williams will miss Sunday's LaLiga clash with Real Valladolid after straining his left hamstring muscles.”
Inaki Williams' injury is a massive blow for the Black Stars of Ghana, who will be playing the final games of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers against Angola and Niger next week.
He was included in Ghana's 25-man squad list announced by coach Otto Addo during a press conference at the Ghana Football Association headquarters in Accra on Thursday.
Kickgh.com understands that Inaki Williams, who is currently being assessed by the Athletic Bilbao medical team, will undergo a scan on Monday to know the extent of the hamstring injury.
Inaki Williams has five goals and provided four assists in 16 appearances for the San Mames Stadium outfit in all competitions this season so far.
