Jai Semenyo, the younger brother of Antoine Semenyo, has expressed his desire to represent Ghana at the international level, even though he is also eligible to play for England.

Currently playing for Cardiff City, Jai is determined to follow in the footsteps of his older brother, who pledged his allegiance to the Black Stars last year and has since become a regular in the team.

Joining Cardiff as a free agent from Mangotsfield in 2021, the 19-year-old has been making good progress in the youth team, steadily making a name for himself.

During the current season, Jai made one appearance for the senior team in the Carabao Cup, featuring in a match against Portsmouth in August 2022.

In an interview with UK-based Pace of Work, Jai openly shared his aspirations of representing Ghana.

"At the international level, I would love to play for Ghana. My parents are from Ghana, and Ghana has been a significant influence throughout my life," the young player stated.

"I started playing football when I was around 7 or 8, with my brother and his friends in the area where they live."

Jai primarily plays as a defender and aims to continue his development within his current club, Cardiff City.

The enterprising full-back is eligible to feature for Ghana, England and Togo at international level.
