Dutch striker of Ghanaian descent, Brian Brobbey, showcased an outstanding performance on Saturday, scoring two crucial goals for Ajax in their 4-2 victory over Heracles in Round 19 of the ongoing Dutch Eredivisie campaign.
Starting for Ajax, Brobbey responded to Heracles' early lead with Jizz Hornkamp's goal in the 12th minute by equalizing in the 16th minute. Steven Berghuis extended Ajax's lead to 2-1 in the 55th minute, and Brobbey scored his second goal in the 57th minute to make it 3-1.
Although Heracles managed to pull one back with Mario Engels' goal in the 60th minute, Ajax secured the victory with Kristian Hlynsson's goal in the 84th minute.
Brian Brobbey's impressive season statistics include 18 appearances, 13 goals, and four assists in the Dutch Eredivisie. Ajax is set to face league leaders PSV Eindhoven in their upcoming game.
