Brighton & Hove Albion are advancing plans to sign Caleb Yirenkyi as a long-term replacement for Carlos Baleba.

The 20-year-old has impressed since joining FC Nordsjælland from the Right to Dream Academy, attracting interest from Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea.

Brighton are believed to be leading the race and hope their strong development pathway will convince him to move, especially with Baleba likely to leave this summer.

Yirenkyi has made 44 appearances (4 goals, 7 assists) and earned eight caps for the Ghana national football team, where he is expected to feature in upcoming friendlies against Austria and Germany.
