Ghanaian coach Charles Kwabla Akonnor, popularly known as CK Akonnor, has been named Coach of the Month of January in the Kenya Premier League after an impressive run with Gor Mahia.
Akonnor has enjoyed a strong start as head coach, guiding the Kenyan giants to the top of the league table. Gor Mahia currently lead the standings with 40 points from 19 matches.
The former Black Stars coach has overseen a run of positive results, with his K'Ogalo side showing improved consistency since his arrival.
The award recognises Akonnor’s impact in a short period and underlines his growing influence in Kenyan football as Gor Mahia continue their push for the league title.
