Daniel Nkrumah's debut for Middlesbrough ends in goalless draw in pre-season friendly

It was a cagey affair from start to finish, as Daniel Nkrumah marked his debut for Middlesbrough as they snatched a goalless draw in a pre-season friendly against York City on Saturday.

It was a weekend for Boro whose fans showed up at the LNER Community Stadium to see their new signing Nkrumah, who joined from Leyton Orient as he was so bright and positive upfront after being introduced from the bench by one of English most decorated former footballers - Michael Carrick.


After the game, Nkrumah took to social media to bemoan his excitement wearing the Boro shirt, saying; "Enjoying my new colours."
