Ghanaian talent Kwadwo Opoku showcased his potential by scoring his debut goal for CF Montreal in an MLS match against Charlotte FC.
Opoku, who is only 22 years old, wasted no time in making an impact, finding the back of the net in just his second appearance for Montreal. His goal came in the 29th minute of the game at the Saputo Stadium, where he skillfully finished off a beautiful team play to give his side the lead.
The young Ghanaian's precise finish was a testament to his talent and potential, and it marked the beginning of what promises to be a promising career with Montreal.
Boosted by Opoku's goal, CF Montreal continued to dominate the match and quickly extended their lead. Nigerian forward Chinonso Offor scored their second goal with an assist from Canadian defender Joel Waterman.
Despite the introduction of Ghanaian youngster Patrick Agyemang for Charlotte FC in the second half, Montreal held on to their advantage and secured the victory.
Notably, former Ghanaian national team defender Harrison Afful was present at the match but remained on the sidelines as an unused substitute for Charlotte FC.
Since joining CF Montreal, Kwadwo Opoku has already made a significant impact, and his performance in this match further highlights his potential and value to the team.
