After moving from New England Revolution to Toronto FC in the summer, Latif Blessing has made his start in the Major League Soccer (MLS).

The 26-year-old climbed off the bench to replace Deandre Kerr in the 52nd minute as they succumbed to a 1-0 defeat at Chicago Fire.

The silky midfielder anchored the right midfield to perfection as he was made to play a deeper role by coach Terence Dunfield.

The match was full of intensity and was going to plan for the Reds, but the game took a nosedive in the 90th minute when Polish striker Kacper Przybyłko gave Chicago Fire a shock 1-0 win at Soldier Field in Illinois.

It was, however, a brilliant display by the Ghanaian, who has made 177 appearances in MLS, starting on 128 occasions, with 17 goals and 25 assists across 11,607 minutes after leaving Liberty Professionals to North America in 2017.
