Danish-born Ghanaian teen Jonathan Agyekum has agreed a one-year contract extension with Danish Superliga side Brøndby IF, a report from the Danish media has indicated.
The 19-year-old wonderkid, who is currently with the U19 youth ranks, had a tremendous outing in the just ended season and has attracted admiring glances from suitors as his current deal is set to expire on June 30, 2025.
Per Tipsbladet, those in charge of the Brøndby Stadium are now set to tie him down to a fresh term after agreeing a deal in principle with his representative ahead of the 2025-26 football season.
He was involved in 22 games by scoring 9 goals and assisting 4 for Brøndby lF U19 side across all competitions in this recently ended season.
Given his Ghanaian heritage, Agyekum remains fit to play for Ghana at the international level despite playing for the Denmark U19 national youth team.
