The defender of Ghanaian descent has completed his free transfer move to the German fourth division club in this summer transfer window

German-born Ghanaian centre-back Jacob Danquah has joined Regionalliga Südwest side Stuttgarter Kickers from Hannover 96's U23 team, the club have confirmed.

The 20-year-old defender is reuniting with his former employers as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with the former top-flight campaigners this summer.

An official confirmation over the signing of the ex-Stuttgart Youth man read: ''Stuttgarter Kickers are pleased to welcome Jacob Danquah, a familiar face, back to the Blues. The 20-year-old central defender is transferring from Hannover 96's U23 team back to Degerloch.''

The Ghana-prospect had this to say after inking his deal with his current employers via the club's official website: ''"It's great to be back home - in the city and at the club. I'm looking forward to the new challenges, growing with the team, and celebrating successes together."

Sporting director Lutz Siebrech added: '' know Jacob well from my first term in office and know what qualities he brings on and off the pitch. Therefore, I'm all the more pleased that we were able to convince him to return to the Kickers. He has everything he needs to be successful with us."

Given his Ghanaian heritage, the Brandenburg an der Have-born stopper remains fit to represent Ghana on the international stage.
