The attacking midfielder of Ghanaian heritage is set to put pen to paper on fresh terms over extension with the German elite club as his current deal is set to expire on June 30, 2026

Danish-Ghanaian midfielder Nikolas Nartey is nearing a new deal with Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart, according to a report from the German media.

The 26-year-old, who joined up with Die Schwaben in the summer of 2019, has so far established himself a strong reputation at the MHP Arena with his excellent performances season after season in the German top-flight.

With his existing contract up in the air, the former FC Copenhagen U19 star is now reportedly close to agreeing a contract extension with his current employers beyond the upcoming summer.

Per German sports magazine KICKER, the two parties have now ''reached an agreement, and the prospects for a contract extension appear promising''.

Nartey has so far played in 34 appearances by racking up 3 goals and assisting 3 for VfB across all competitions in this current football season.

Given his Ghanaian heritage, the Copenhagen-born midfielder remains eligible to represent Ghana at the international level despite playing for the Denmark national football team, with one cap to his name.
