Former RTU midfielder, David Abagna Sandan scored to help his side APOEL Nicosia secure a pulsating 2-2 draw against Slovenian side NK Celje in the first leg of the UEFA Conference League playoff.
The 26-year-old had a great game having netted the first to mark his third in the competition before making way in the 83rd minute to be replaced by Cypriot international Panagiotis Kattirtzis
Lithuanian international Armandas Kucys broke the deadlock in the 2nd minute before David Abagna found the net 31 minutes later as it finished 1-1 at half time.
Kucys in the second half restored the lead for the homesters but Konstantinos Laifis levelled the score with twenty minutes to full time.
David Abagna has been outstanding this season having tallied 6 goals and provided 3 assists in over 30 appearances so far this season.
The return leg is slated for February 20, at the GSP Stadium.
