Ghanaian youngster Edmund Baidoo was on target for RedBull Salzburg in their 3-2 loss to Club Brugge in the third qualifying round of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League.
The 19-year-old made the starting line up and lasted 67 minutes before making way for Serbian international Petar Ratkov.
Jacob Rasmussen opened the scoring account in the 18th minute for the visitors before Edmund Baidoo doubled the lead just on the stroke of half-time to lead the tie for the first time in the game.
However, goals from Joaquin Seys, Carlos Forbs and Hans Vanaken were enough to propel the comeback for Club Brugge as it finished 3-2 after full time.
The Belgian side won the tie 4-2 on aggregate and have now made it to the final playoff round of the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League.
Edmund Baidoo has a goal and an assist so far in six appearances in all competitions and will hope for another starting berth against Hartberg in the Austrian Bundesliga on Saturday, August 16, 2025.
