Ghana midfielder Elisha Owusu delivered a masterclass performance in the AJ Auxerre heavy home win over Brest in the French Ligue 1 on Friday evening.
Owusu, who was handed starting berth for the Blue and Whites lads, opened his season's goal-scoring account and provided an assist to power AJ Auxerre to a 3-0 resounding victory at the Stade de l'Abbe-Deschamps.
The 26-year-old made the impressive display from his side count when he pounced on Sinaly Diomande's pass to open the floodgate for AJ Auxerre in the 26th minute of the game.
Skipper Jubal doubled their lead on the 37th minute when he brilliantly converted the spot-kick awarded to them.
Owusu teed up Hamed Junior Traorè to complete their 3-0 in the 59th minute of the game.
The Ghana international enjoyed the entire duration of the game while Gideon Mensah, who recently recovered from injury layoff, came on in the 66th minute as a replacement for Clement Akpa.
Owusu has made six appearances for AJ Auxerre with a goal and assist to his credit in the ongoing season.
