According to reports from RMC Sport, Everton and Olympique Lyon have agreed on a €20 million transfer fee for Ghanaian winger Ernest Nuamah.

While discussions over personal terms are ongoing, there is optimism that a deal will be finalized soon, with all parties eager to reach an agreement.

Nuamah, 21, joined Lyon in August 2023 from Molenbeek, another club owned by John Textor.

Initially arriving on loan, Lyon made the move permanent for €28.5 million last summer. Despite his potential, the winger has struggled to make a significant impact in France, scoring just four goals in 50 appearances across all competitions.

His most notable contribution this season was a Europa League goal against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Lyon’s financial struggles, compounded by sanctions from the DNCG, have forced the club to sell key players. Alongside Nuamah’s imminent departure, academy graduate Maxence Caqueret has been sold to Serie A side Como for €15 million.

Meanwhile, Wilfried Zaha's loan from Galatasaray was terminated, allowing him to join Charlotte FC in Major League Soccer, as Lyon continues to reshape its squad amid financial constraints.
