Ghanaian international midfielder, Alfred Duncan has completed a move to newly-promoted side Italian Serie A side ACF Fiorentina ahead of the 2024/25 football season.
The 31-year-old has enjoyed almost all his European spells in Italy, having featured for clubs like Inter Milan, Livorno, UC Sampdoria, US Sassuolo and others.
However, in September 2020, Duncan joined Fiorentina and after a loan spell at Cagliari, Duncan returned subsequently and since became a regular and a mainstay at the Estadio Artemio Franchi.
In the just-ended 2023/24 season, the mercurial midfielder made 41 appearances in all competitions; having netted two goals and registered four assists.
The versatile middleman had his contract terminated after the campaign and is now on the verge of joining newbies Venezia FC with medicals already completed and will sign a three-year contract in the coming days.
The Winged-Lions secured promotion through playoffs after finishing third in the playoffs and will hope to establish themselves as a mainstay in the topflight.
