Spanish La Liga side Celta Vigo have been handed a massive boost ahead of the 2024–25 season following the return of Ghana defender Joseph Aidoo from a long injury layoff.
Aidoo, who has been out of action since October 2023, joined the Sky Blues' pre-season exercise for the upcoming campaign on Friday, July 26, 2024.
The 28-year-old spent almost ten months in the treatment room following the injury he suffered during Ghana's international friendly game against Mexico in Charlotte, USA.
He underwent a successful surgery, which kept him out of the remainder of the 2023–24 season's campaign after making only six La Liga appearances for Celta Vigo.
Aidoo has made 135 appearances and scored four times for Celta Vigo since arriving at the club in 2019 from Belgian side KRC Genk.
He has a contract with Celta Vigo until the summer of 2026.
