Former Medeama SC striker, Jonathan Sowah has left Libyan side Al Nasr Benghazi after a very short spell to join Tanzanian giants Young Africans SC, Kickgh.com can exclusively report.

Having started the 2023/24 season with Medeama SC after helping them win them win the Ghana Premier League two seasons ago, Sowah was strongly linked with lots of clubs and the Tanzanian champions were always in the list.

But, he ended up joining the Libyan outfit and started on a higher note and was doing so well and even netted a haul thus four goals in Al Nasr's dramatic 6-3 win over Al Hilal in a league fixture in May.

However, speculations has it that, the elite forward has left the Alfahamas after a short time and is on the verge of signing for Young Africans.

Reports say Sowah and his camp after a fruitful discussions has agreed to a three-year deal with the Vijana Stars and will be joining them for preseason very soon. 

The Tanzanian powerhouse have had their eyes on him for a while now especially after his performance against them in the CAF Confederations Cup last season and have always wanted to lure his service.

Jonathan Sowah despite missing out on the last Back Stars call up, has in and around the team for sometime now and even made 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final squad.
