Black Stars defender, Alexander Djiku has popped up on the radar of French Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais but it's very unlikely for the move to happen as Fenerbahçe SK are not willing to let go of him this summer.
The versatile defender joined the Yellow Canaries last summer and had a fantastic debut season having featured in most of their matches but sadly, lost the league title to rivals Galatasaray in the latter part
The Red-Blacks have reportedly expressed strong interest and are willing to splash €10million for the service of the 29-year-old whom they believe will bring stability in their defense heading into the new campaign.
However, a return to the French topflight is going to be very difficult for Djiku since the Yellow Canaries are not any willing to let him leave this summer as his current contract with them will run until 2026.
He has been very impressive so far I'm the club's preseason having scored seven or more ratings on Sofascore in three out of the four matches played so far; against Admira Wacker, Hull City and his former club Strasbourg.
Fenerbahçe SK will face Swiss side FC Lugano in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League second round qualification on July 23, 2024.
