Former Ghana youth international Ibrahim Zubairu opened his goal-scoring account for FK Partizan Belgrade in their away defeat to OFK Beograd in the Serbian Super Liga on Sunday.
OFK Beograd continued their impressive performance in the top-flight league with 3-2 home victory over the Black and White lads at the Stadion Omladinski.
The visitors took the lead through Aleksandar Filipovic in the 15th minute before former Black Stars winger Samuel Owusu brilliantly leveled the score three minutes later for OFK Beograd.
The former King Faisal FC winger restored the lead for FK Partizan Belgrade in the 40th minute of the game.
However, two late second half goals from Aleksandar Palocevic and Filip Stojilkovic handed the hosts all the three maximum points to send them to third place on the log with 16 points after eight matches.
Zubairu has made four appearances in the Serbian Super Liga for FK Partizan Belgrade with a goal and assist to his credit.
He joined FK Partizan Belgrade on a four-year contract from Serbian second-tier side FK Jedinstvo Ub in a deal worth €500,000 this summer.
