Newly-captured Norwich City midfielder, Forson Amankwah has expressed elation after signing for the English Championship side and is very optimistic he will flourish in the new challenge at the Carrow Road.

The Yellow-Canaries announced the signing of the Ghanaian midfielder this morning on a four-year deal from Austrian giants Red Bull Salzburg for around £4 million plus add-ons.

The transfer is subject to international clearance and approval from the regulatory governing bodies.

Forson, who netted 2 goals and 2 assists last season, has disclosed how excited he is and feels he is at the right club since he will be playing under an experienced manager who has helped shape lots of youngsters in the game 

"I'm really happy and excited to come to the club. 

"The head coach has worked before with so many young players, it's really nice to be here working with him."

The 22-year-old has so far been cap-tied twice by the Ghana men's senior national team, the Black Stars at the international level.

Forson Amankwah is most likely to mark his debut against Oxford United in their opening game of the 2024/25 Championship season
