The Turkish giants have confirmed an official approach over the services of their Ghanaian defender in this current transfer window

Turkish SuperLig outfit Galatasaray have confirmed FC Spartak Moscow interest in Ghana-prospect left-back Derrick Köhn.

Reports from the Turkish media have claimed that the Russian heavyweights have tabled an offer for Derrick, but has knocked it back as it was below his valuation of €2.5m per season over his personal terms.

Sporting director Cenk Ergün has said his outfit have received an official offer for the ex-Hamburger SV youth star, but the player is dragging his feet over his pursuit by the Russian top-flight side as being quoted by Sporx: "There was a transfer request regarding Köhn. We received an official offer. The player preferred not to evaluate the offer. There is no development regarding Köhn at the moment. We have exactly 1 month ahead of us, the transfer process. Could there be a transfer offer during this time, is there a possibility of the player leaving, could there be other departures? There may be other evaluations. There is no such process at the moment."

It's now believed that the Moscow-based club are readying themselves to return with an improved bid as they are hell-bent to secure his services in this current transfer window.

His contract with the lstanbul-based club will expire in June 2026 and as per his transfermarkt valuation, the Russian superpower outfit are to splash €6m on his head if they are to land him this summer.

Given his Ghanaian heritage, Derrick remains eligible to represent Ghana at the international level despite playing for the Germany U19 national youth team.
