Die Rothosen are reportedly nearing landing the signature of the 21-year-old midfield enforcer of Ghanaian descent ahead of the forthcoming transfer window

Bundesliga club Hamburger SV are set to sign German-born Ghanaian defensive midfielder Kofi Amoako from 2. Bundesliga outfit Dynamo Dresden, an emerging fresh report from the German media has indicated.

The former VfL Wolfsburg enforcer, who is also on the radar of German elite division rivals, FC Koln, Union Berlin and Mainz 05 as well as Premier League side  Leeds United, is an inch away from sealing his transfer switch to the Volksparkstadion ahead of the summer window.

According to a report from the German tabloid Newspaper Hamburger Morgenpost, Hamburger SV have won the race to sign the Ghana-prospect youngster in a deal believed to be around €2 million over his contract release clause.

Amoako, who has enjoyed a productive season so far, has taking in 32 appearances for Dynamo across all competitions in this current  2025-26 football season.

Given his Ghanaian heritage, the Hanover-born youngster remains fit to play for Ghana at the international level despite featuring for the Germany national youth teams.
