German-born Ghanaian striker Aaron Seydel scored the winner for Darmstadt as they recorded a 2-1 win against Borussia Mönchengladbach in the DFB-Pokal on Tuesday night football.
The 26-year-old climbed off the bench to slam his sides second goal into the top corner in the 79th minute after Phillip Tietz has shot Darmstadt upfront in the 23rd minute before Gladbach defender Luca Netz pulled a leveller three minutes into the second half.
However, defender Patric Pfeiffer and Braydon Manu lasted full 90 minutes in the game.
Seydel, who is eligible to represent either Germany or Ghana at the senior international level has scored once in seven Bundesliga 2 games this season for Darmstadt.
