German-Ghanaian forward Ragnar Ache delivered an impressive performance for 1. FC Köln in their lively Bundesliga clash with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on Saturday.
Handed a place in the starting XI, the 27-year-old made his presence felt across 85 minutes as Köln battled to a 2-2 draw at the RheinEnergieSTADION.
Ache gave the hosts the perfect start, finding the back of the net in the 15th minute after being set up by Said El Mala. Hoffenheim responded before the interval, with Turkish defender Ozan Kabak equalizing to ensure the sides went into halftime level.
The visitors edged in front after the break when Croatian striker Andrej Kramarić converted to make it 2-1. However, Köln refused to relent, and El Mala turned scorer in the 63rd minute to restore parity and earn his side a valuable point.
Ache’s dynamic display once again underlined his growing influence in Köln’s attacking setup. With four goals and four assists in 21 league appearances this season, he continues to cement his role as a key figure in the team’s frontline.
