Ghana striker Emmanuel Boateng was on target to propel Rio Ave to a slim hone win over Portimonense in the Portuguese top-tier league on Monday evening.
Rio Ave recorded their third victory of the season against the Black and White lads in their match-week 10 clash at the Estadio dos Arcos.
Boateng registered his name on the score sheet with a fine strike on the stroke of halftime which eventually became the only goal to hand Rio Ave all the needed points.
He lasted for 70 minutes before he was replaced by Leonardo Ruiz while his compatriot Abdul Aziz Yakubu enjoyed the entire duration of the game for the winners.
Boateng has now scored three goals in his 6 appearances for Rio Ave this season so far.
